Over half of the development will take the form of a new country park, creating a valuable community asset and ensuring the long-term future of the countryside. The park will open up the existing, largely-inaccessible farmland to the public.

Fully open to all via a series of links to the city and surrounding area, it will feature a network of walkways and cyclepaths, as well as a series of viewpoints and picnic areas.
It will complement other environmental assets in the area, including Tollohill Wood, Loirston Loch and the North Sea Trail.

A carefully planned programme of tree planting, the natural development of new flora and fauna, the evolution of a new wildlife habitat – all will combine to create a striking new natural feature and community amenity on the city’s doorstep.
A feature to be used by all and enjoyed by all, for generations to come.
